Driver shot to death by angry witnesses

HOUSTON Police report two men in a pickup pulled into a gas station parking lot on West Gulf Bank near Stuebner Airline in northwest Houston Saturday afternoon. A woman in the parking lot confronted the pickup driver and told him he almost ran over her child. The two were arguing when several other people joined the fight.

"Five other males came in and attacked one of the passengers in the vehicle," said Sgt. Phillip Munoz with the Houston Police Department. "As they tried to drive away, one of the attackers shot and killed the driver."

The passenger in the pickup suffered minor injuries. The five attackers got away, but police say they have good leads on the men's identities.
