Houston gospel singer Yolanda Adams remembers friendship with Prince

Houston gospel singer Yolanda Adams was a dear friend of Prince and shared her memories of the icon.

Adams says they met years ago at the Soul Train Awards. She also says that Prince wasn't a huge influence on her music, but he had a huge impact on her heart.

"Watching him sing, perform, create was always a pleasure, he always had the bar set very, very high," Adams said. "So people who would come after him would have to try to leap over that bar or try to reach it as far as they possibly could."

She says Prince was always himself and there was nothing like his concert experience.
