Four-Year-Old with Leukemia wins HLSR Art Contest

HOUSTON, TX (KTRK) -- Four-year-old Maxten Escobar has Leukemia. While getting treatment at Texas Children's Cancer Center, he went to their art room.

This became a refuge for Maxten and his family.

He was encouraged to enter the Houston Livesttock and Rodeo School Art Auction. His colorful cowboy hat won Best in Show for his age group.

Maxten is excited about the win, but even more excited to make his next piece of art.
