City to launch Conroe Connection bus service in January

CONROE, TX -- With Wednesday's delivery of four buses, the city of Conroe is preparing to launch its fixed route bus system, dubbed Conroe Connection, in January.

The new system is designed to get residents to the most high demand locations in the city. But according to Barry Goodman, with the Goodman Corporation, the routes will create some wait time as the buses make the two-hour round trip.

"We hope to do better than that in the future, but we want to see how things go with our initial system and with two buses," said Goodman, adding that riders might see an hour wait after the buses leave one of five stops.
