Beaumont man fatally shot in Texas City; motive unclear

TEXAS CITY, TX (KTRK) -- Texas City police are investigating a deadly shooting.

It happened just after 2pm Monday at an apartment complex across from Robinson Park.

The victim, 32-year-old Derek Zagone, of Beaumont, was shot and rushed to Mainland Medical Center, where he died.

No details have been released on a motive, and no arrests have been made.
