An Aggie from Humble has been taken into custody after police say he made a terroristic threat at Texas A&M University on social media.

COLLEGE STATION, TX (KTRK) -- A Texas A&M University student from Humble is under arrest after he allegedly posted a threatening note on a social media website.

Christopher Louis Bolanos-Garza, 21, was arrested Tuesday night. According to the university, he is from Humble.

Campus police received several calls Tuesday afternoon about an anonymous post on Yik Yak that stated, "THIS IS NOT A JOKE! DON'T GO TO CAMPUS BETWEEN 7 AND 730 THIS WILL BE MY ONLY WARNING."

Police got an emergency subpoena requesting account information from the social media site, and it gave officers a phone number linked to the account that made the post.

Investigators then traced the number to Bolanos-Garza. They found him at John R. Blocker Building, a campus academic building, just before 7pm, interviewed and arrested him.

Bolanos-Garza now faces a terroristic threat charge. He's being held at the Brazos County Jail without bond.

Making a terroristic threat, a third degree felony, punishable by up to 10 years in state prison and a fine up to $10,000.

According to the online university directory, Bolanos-Garza is a freshmen mathematics major.

Police have not said whether he told them why he allegedly made the threat.
