After a frustrating back-and-forth with authorities, a man whose car was stolen said deputies didn't inform him that his recovered vehicle had been sent to auction.
Officials in Houston were notified by Louisiana police that the car was spotted near a Walmart on Wallisville Road on Friday, which started the pursuit, HCSO says.
Deputies tried to end the chase by spiking the stolen vehicle, but after the suspect lost control and bailed, he reportedly took off running and crossed all lanes on I-10.
An investigation is underway after a Harris County deputy was rear-ended by a stolen car near I-610 East at Kirkpatrick, the sheriff's office says.
Police say they don't know why the man might have taken the ambulance. "He seemed a little delirious, so he may be having some mental problems," Lt. Larry Crowson said.
News of the Eagles star receiver's car being stolen went public when A.J. Brown posted a video on social media.
