A San Diego 18-year-old pleaded guilty to a federal charge after he was caught on video kicking and chasing a protected sea lion at a La Jolla beach.
Four sea lion pups are back home in the ocean thanks to the Marine Mammal Care Center in Los Angeles.
"Surprisingly, it willingly jumped into the back of the patrol car," an officer said. "We opened the door and it just hopped right in."
Apparently, the friendly little pal just wanted some fish. But once the feeding stopped, the hungry guest said "see ya."
A young sea lion with a bullet in her brain and another with cataracts in both eyes were rescued and have found a new home.
Next week, two rescued Harbor seals will make their public debut at Moody Gardens.
