The Buffalo Bills organization said it extends its condolences to Oliver and his family for the "devasting loss of his son."
"It's an unthinkable tragedy for any parent," the statement read. "We will continue to support Ed and his family as we all grieve this tragic loss."
Details surrounding the son's death are still unknown at this time.
Oliver grew up in Houston and attended Westfield High School before going to the University of Houston and playing for the Cougars. He was drafted by the Bills in 2019 and has been with them since.
