LOS ANGELES -- Tires on a DHL cargo plane caught on fire during an emergency landing at Los Angeles International Airport on Wednesday night, an intense moment caught on video.

The incident unfolded around 11 p.m. Wednesday as the plane arrived at LAX from Phoenix. Video shows the moment the plane touched down with flames shooting from underneath it.

Emergency crews rushed to the aircraft, forcing one of the runways to temporarily close. Our sister station KABC-TV's helicopter got a view after the fire was put out and could see four rear tired with severe damage.

Air traffic control audio captured the pilot reporting that the aircraft's brakes locked up.

Additional details about what caused the fire or what led up to the emergency landing were unclear.

No injuries were immediately reported.
