TOMBALL, TX (KTRK) -- It is a race against time for Wednesday's storm victims as they try to salvage as much of their belongings as possible before the next round of rain hits our area.
Trees destroyed several homes and now the people who live in the area are trying to save everything they can.

"We got to get as much down today as possible," says Tom Caldwell, who is helping his sister.
The storm that moved through Tomball left a path of destruction through the Willow Oaks subdivision.
The tree that hit Juanita Slayton's home damaged it beyond repair.
"This is a 100 percent loss," Caldwell says. "When it came down, each end kind of flew up like that and threw them out of bed, I am sure it bent the frame, all the floors are buckled through out the house."
James and Tom Caldwell are trying to salvage as much of their sister's belongings as possible.

More rain is expected to head to the area this week, leaving very little time to save what was spared by Wednesday's storm.
"I am the most, luckiest guy in the world," Caldwell says. "My sister survived, her husband survived, their animals survived, nobody got hurt, that's the most important thing."
As you know one women died during the storms, she lives just two houses down the street.
She was 62-year-old Bonnie Fleishman, she is an Air Force veteran who is survived by two daughters.
Her family is expected to arrive here later today.
