If at first you don't succeed, try again with better gear - at least if your name is J.J. Watt.

Last month, the Texans defensive end tried to top a personal-best 5-feet 1-inches in the box jump, but it didn't go well. This morning, JJ posted a video on his Facebook page showing the 6-foot 5-inch pro bowler breaking his record by successfully landing the 61-inch jump.

The video is a promotional piece for shoe company Reebok, which also uploaded the video to its YouTube account. That clip included a caption which said Watt achieved the jump while testing the latest Reebok ZPump Fusion shoe. Fittingly, the video also served as an announcement that Watt switched his apparel-endorsement contract from Nike to Reebok.

But as ESPN's Darren Rovell notes, Watt's move is somewhat curious considering Reebok-wearing players don't have the right to use the company's logo on the field during NFL games. That means Watt's shoes will have to be unbranded during games.
