HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Carlos Correa is quickly becoming the next big thing in baseball and is close to joining some elite company in Houston. Our David Nuno went one-on-one with the 21-year-old phenom, and discussed everything from his humble beginnings in Puerto Rico, to his work ethic, to his love for hats.
Correa says he is extremely close with his family. "Ever since I turned professional, they travel with me all the time, they come every time they can. They love watching me play out there, spending time with me."
When asked about potentially becoming the next JJ Watt, Correa was honored. "That is really humbling, because he is a big guy in Houston that everybody loves," says Correa. "He is the guy right now."
Correa is quickly becoming the guy, but the Astros need him to take it to another level this weekend against the Rangers.
