HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Comply, Houston, or you will never see your precious fall again.
That is the message summer is sending in a ransom note discovered by meteorologist Travis Herzog on Tuesday.
If you have been wondering why it's been so unseasonably warm as we head into fall, it's because the cooler season has been taken hostage by summer.
In the note, the hot and angry season says he has also taken hostage of spring and winter after intercepting a note asking for help finding autumn.
Summer made three demands if we ever hope to see the fall this year:
What say you, Houston? Should we negotiate with summer?

Here's how some abc13 viewers responded:
Misty Frees Jones: Dear Summer, personally, I adore you. You allow us to spend time in, on, and around the water, which is my favorite thing. However, everyone needs their time to shine, and in Houston, you're given approximately 4-5 months to do so. Let someone else have the spotlight for a while. No one likes a spotlight hog, Summer. Love you, mean it, H-Town #FreeAutumn
Kimberly Miller: Dear Summer, It's not you it's...ok it IS you. It's been real and it's been fun, but it hasn't been real fun. I've already done the packing and your Uber is outside. Bye Felicia! Love, Hot Houstonians Everywhere
Kathleen Wilkerson Cross: Dear Summer, I'm glad I'm not the only one having hot flashes but seriously you need to take a chill pill for yours! XXX OOO
