Smoke smell around Houston is from east Texas fires

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Have you noticed that smoke smell in the air? You're not alone.

Plenty of you have asked us on social media and through email what's burning. And now we have an answer for you.

According to the Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge, there are two different fires burning over in Jefferson County in east Texas. Smoke from those fires has made it all the way here.
