MISSOURI CITY, TX -- A 19-year-old CEO who was featured on ABC's 'Shark Tank' is making another big career move.
Tyla-Simone Crayton just opened her first restaurant, Sienna Wings, in Missouri City.
Crayton first developed her own wing sauce recipe when she was just eight years old and started her own business, Sienna Sauce, when she was in eighth grade. She appeared on 'Shark Tank' in 2021 and made a deal worth $100,000. Sienna Sauce is now sold in several major grocers across the country, including H-E-B, Randalls, and Target. Crayton says opening her own restaurant has been a dream of hers for years.
"It's a full-circle moment for me and my mom because we started cooking wings in our house and now we have a full-fledged restaurant," she said. "We just had a grand opening. It was amazing. The mayor came out and gave us a proclamation from Missouri City. It was such an honor to have this full-circle moment where we all started here in Sienna, and in Missouri City."
Sienna Wings, located at 4603 Sienna Parkway, is housed inside Harvest Market in Missouri City. Crayton hopes it is just the first location of many.
"Chick-Fil-A started in a mall. Cane's started on a college campus, and these are huge brands now," she said. "So we're starting here and we're just happy that we can share our wings with the world. Our goal is to be the largest competitor against Wing Stop."
