Woman to spend 2 years in prison for threatening child with meat cleaver

ROSENBERG, Texas (KTRK) -- A woman has been sentenced to two years in prison after she was charged for threatening a child with a meat cleaver.

Eliza Lazarra Ford, 51, was convicted of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon last week.

Witnesses testified Ford showed up to the victim's home in February 2017, which violated a family court order.

She then threatened the child with the knife during an argument before the child called 911.
