When to buy your Christmas tree

A new survey finds the average price for a tree on Black Friday is $66, but by Christmas Eve the price drops to an average of $30.

The most popular tree shopping day is the Saturday after Thanksgiving, Dec. 2. The average price for a tree in Texas is $64.

Californians pay the most, an average of $76. Christmas trees are cheapest in North Dakota, where folks there only pay an average of $27.
