HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Drivers in west Houston had to be patient after a Shell gas station promoted $1.99 gas, causing a significant line through the neighborhood on Tuesday afternoon.
SkyEye13 was over the scene at the Shell gas station near the Katy Freeway and North Kirkwood, where a long line of drivers was seen waiting for a chance at the pump for what is considered a steal.
The promotion began early this morning and ended at 2:30 p.m.
The promotion was in partnership with the phone carrier T-Mobile for its perk app, T-Mobile Tuesdays, although drivers did not have to be a T-Mobile customer to receive the deal.
