HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Metro light rail video and the suspect's own Instagram account helped investigators track down a man who allegedly attacked a Houston Methodist Hospital employee on Monday, per court records reviewed by ABC13.

The woman was stabbed multiple times inside the Texas Medical Center garage, tried fighting off her alleged attacker before escaping, according to court records.

The stabbing happened just before 7 a.m. Monday, when HPD said the employee, who had just arrived at work, was found stabbed inside her car on the fifth floor of Garage 1 at TMC near Fannin Street.

On Thursday, the Houston Police Department confirmed the arrest of 46-year-old Perry Green in connection with the stabbing. He has been charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and aggravated kidnapping.

Court records state the victim, a tech at the hospital, parked on the fifth floor of the garage. She was on the driver's side getting her stuff when she was approached by the alleged suspect.

Records allege the victim was startled and fell from the driver's side to the passenger side of the vehicle. She then began kicking and screaming as Green allegedly attacked her.

During the struggle, records state the victim tried to hit the horn of her car multiple times with her head to try to draw attention. At one point, she was allegedly zip-tied by Green with ties she happened to have in her car.

Green allegedly asked the victim for her debit cards and keys, and once he had them, he started the vehicle's engine. The victim told police she was screaming through the whole incident but eventually managed to open the passenger door using her toes and flee to find help, court records state.

In total, the victim suffered seven stab wounds to the chest, three facial lacerations, and multiple stab wounds on other parts of her body, according to records.

The victim told police that Green seemed confused and made contradictory statements during the attack.

Records show that two brothers in the parking garage tried to chase down the suspect, but stopped when they saw the small knife with the orange handle he was holding. The brothers then turned their attention to helping the victim.

Investigators used Metro Light Rail video that showed the suspect parking a Nissan van emblazoned with the EMF dispensary logo at the Fannin South station. He then allegedly rode the train to the Dryden stop, got out, and attacked the victim in the garage.

Records show investigators saw video after the attack where the suspect allegedly got back to his van and drove off. Police were to match the van to Green's Instagram account, which appears to show the exact same EMF van and Green wearing a matching t-shirt.

Green is expected to make his first court appearance on Thursday.

The victim's mother told ABC13 that her daughter is recovering and the family is taking it "day by day."
