Texas City man found dead in Moses Lake after extensive search by first responders, officials say

TEXAS CITY, Texas (KTRK) -- A missing boater was found dead in Moses Lake after an extensive search by first responders, according to Texas City officials.

City officials said that Texas City resident Robert Kenneth Gass, 74, left his home by boat at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. According to officials, a neighbor observed a capsized boat in Moses Lake near the flood gate at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Officials say that Gass was found dead near the center of Moses Lake.
