HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- YES Prep Northline Secondary School was placed on a temporary hold on Wednesday as HPD responded to a safety concern on campus, officials said.
According to the Houston Police Department, officers rushed to the school on Little York Road at 1:15 p.m. after receiving a call about a "threat," but did not provide details about the incident.
In an update provided to Eyewitness News several hours later, YES Prep Public Schools said the school was placed on a temporary hold out of an abundance of caution after an alleged safety concern. School officials said the hold has since been lifted and that all students and staff are safe.
Neither HPD nor YES Prep Public Schools commented on the nature of the threat. YES Prep later confirmed that authorities found the threat was not credible.
