Police: Red light runner dies with passenger in Montgomery Co. crash

SPLENDORA, TX (KTRK) -- A driver who police say ran a red light ended up killing himself and his passenger in Montgomery County last night.

It happened in Splendora off FM 2090 on Tram around 10pm.

Authorities say that driver ran a light at Tram and another car, hit that vehicle in a T-bone fashion. He and his passenger died instantly.

Two people in the other car were not hurt.
