Police: Man gives prostitute a monkey as payment
EUGENE, OR -- This bizarre story out of Oregon involved a prostitute, a john, and a primate.
Nathan McClain, an owner of a Eugene pet store, is accused of robbing his own store to pay for sex.

Officers were tipped off when he wife reported a monkey named 'Gooey' was stolen from the store, along with money collected for Girl Scout cookies.
Police say they soon discovered McClain paid a prostitute with the Girl Scout money, and then gave her Gooey as a tip.

Gooey was recovered from a hotel room, still with the prostitute.
Officers say this is a first.
"No, this is my first time ever recovering a monkey from a prostitute," says detective Rick Lowe.
McClain was arrested for prostitution. Gooey is now in the care of an animal sanctuary.
