Hayward police track down boy who ran away after bad haircut

HAYWARD, California -- Police rushed to find a boy who was reported missing on Tuesday in Hayward.

To their surprise, they found the boy rather quickly.

Investigators said he had run away from home because he gave himself a terrible haircut, and didn't want to face his family.

Police posted a picture on Facebook of Officer Tran stepping in to give the boy a clean new cut.

All in a day's work.
