One dead after a trench caved in on construction workers in Cypress

CYPRESS, TX (KTRK) -- One person is dead after a trench caved in on construction workers Saturday, according to the Cy-Fair Fire Department.

Authorities tell Eyewitness News that a 19-year-old male was buried alive during the accident. The construction site is located on the corner of Cypress Drive and Mueschke Road.

The construction company is called Principal Services LTD. A woman who answered the phone at the company, would not issue a comment on the accident.

OSHA officials are investigating.
