Nutelle fights claims that palm oil is a cancer risk

The company that makes Nutella is responding to claims that the hazelnut spread can cause cancer.

Nutella uses palm oil to get a smooth texture and improve shelf life.

Researchers in Europe found that, when heated, the oil generates potential carcinogens.

Nutella has launched an ad campaign overseas to assure the public the spread is safe to eat.
