A monster storm has dumped more than 1 foot of snow in the Heartland as the Northeast braces for flooding Wednesday night.

Northeast

H

eavy rain is hitting the Northeast's Interstate 95 corridor on Wednesday, with 1 to 3 inches of rain expected.

People heading home from their Christmas gatherings should use extreme caution on the roadways because ponding and flash flooding are possible.

More than 10 million Americans are under a flood watch across Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Heartland

T

he Heartland is digging out from a massive storm that dumped more than 1 foot of snow in parts of South Dakota and Colorado.

The highest snow total so far is 16.5 inches near Chadron, Nebraska.

The Heartland also was hit with an ice storm that coated trees and powerlines.

The storm is still lingering, with light snow falling in South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri.
