Former Montgomery Co. babysitter arrested over allegations of child sex abuse, MCSO says

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said a former nanny was arrested in connection with an ongoing case of child abuse, authorities said.

According to a release on Thursday, 21-year-old Evan Joseph Moore was taken into custody and charged with indecency with a child. Officials said it was reported by a child under 14 years old that they had experienced sexual abuse by Moore.

MCSO did not say when the alleged abuse took place or how long it may have been going on.

Moore had been employed in the Montgomery County area for several years as a babysitter and nanny.

It is because of the nature of Moore's employment that officials said they believe there could be more victims.
