HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Patients at Memorial Hermann can once again use Blue Cross Blue Shield after a new deal was reached, according to the hospital system.

On Saturday, Memorial Hermann Hospital released a statement stating it reached a deal that allows in-network care at all of the hospital's facilities.

This comes after the hospital system and the insurance company failed to reach a deal on April 1, leaving Blue Cross Blue Shield policyholders either out-of-network or scrambling to find new care.

Memorial Hermann hasn't said what this will mean for patients who were billed before the agreement was reached.

As always, we stand ready to serve and encourage patients to reach out to their trusted providers to schedule needed care.
