Man in silver car found shot to death outside NW Houston business

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A shooter is still on the run after a man was killed outside a business in northwest Houston.

The deadly shooting happened just after 2 p.m., on Whitecastle and Veterans Memorial, just west of I-45.

When officers arrived, they found the man dead inside a silver car.

Police said they are interviewing a couple of witnesses, but no suspect is in custody.

Our cameras were there as one witness' hands were placed inside baggies. We have seen this before when police want to test someone's hands for gunpowder residue.

The medical examiner was working late into the afternoon and early evening to gather evidence.

But again, police still have no suspects in the man's deadly shooting.
