According to the Liberty County Sheriff's Office, in the early morning hours of Sept. 29, they responded to a call for a possible drowning at a Liberty County property and found Quintana and her three children out of the water. The children's father was the one who reportedly called 911 and pulled his children out, while a responding deputy was the one who rescued Quintana.
Authorities said the children were last placed in CPS custody, which placed them with their maternal grandparents.
The children's father was also charged, but with a misdemeanor unrelated to the near-drowning, and he was out of jail soon after his arrest.
