Katy ISD approves developing virtual high school for students in and outside of district

KATY, Texas (KTRK) -- Katy ISD board members have approved the development of a virtual high school after a board meeting vote.

The creation of Legacy Virtual High School was discussed at board meetings on July 20 and 27.

Details for the new school haven't been released, but ABC13 learned that students who don't live in Katy can also apply to the program.

The first day of school at Katy ISD is Wednesday, August 12.
