HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The Houston Police Department said no one is in custody after the discovery of a dead body on Wednesday morning in southwest Houston.
The body, which was discovered on Brookglade Circle near Dairy Ashford Road, appeared to have a possible gunshot wound to the head, according to the department.
HPD said the victim was a man in his 50s who was known to hang out in a parking lot near where his body was discovered.
"He drinks quite a bit in the parking lot," Lt. R. Willkens said. "He hangs out and visits with people."

Willkens said there appeared to be a disturbance in that parking lot before things spilled into the street.
"It appears he possibly had words with a couple of guys," he explained.
Willkens said two suspects, possibly involved, left the scene in a white sedan.
Houston police referenced a third individual who was standing near an adjacent building in the area at the time of the shooting.
Willkens asks anyone with information about this case to contact HPD's Homicide Division at 713-308-3600.
