CYPRESS, Texas (KTRK) -- An inmate who was mistakenly released from a jail in New Orleans was caught at a home in Cypress, according to the Harris County Precinct 5 Constable's Office.
Last month, officials say workers mistook 30-year-old Khalil Bryan for someone else and released him, the Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office said.
Officials said two deputies were fired as a result. This happened at the same jail where 10 inmates escaped in May.

Precinct 5 officials said they got a tip that Bryan was hiding out at a home in Texas. They said Bryan had multiple arrest warrants out of Louisiana for home invasion, aggravated assault, child endangerment, and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Deputies said their TAC unit arrested Bryan at the home on Wednesday morning after the 30-year-old allegedly tried to flee out of a window.
Pct. 5 said Bryan was treated for minor injuries and booked into the Harris County Jail, adding that two others in the home were arrested on unrelated warrants.
