HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A former Houston Independent School District teacher has been sentenced to seven years for charges related to his alleged inappropriate exchanges and encounters with two students, according to court documents.
The Harris County District Attorney's Office told ABC13 that Abdurahman Milani, who was charged with sexual assault of a child in 2023, entered a plea for two of his charges and was sentenced to seven years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
Records indicate that Milani will serve time for sexual assault of a child between ages 14 and 17, and indecency with child sexual contact.
ABC13 previously reported that Milani, then 27-years-old, was charged with sexual assault of a child, improper relationship with a student, online solicitation of a minor, and indecency with child sexual contact.
Court documents stated that the two female victims were students in his math class at Marshall Middle School.
