HOUSTON, Texas -- Need a capacitor or a circuit board? You might find what you need at Electronic Parts Outlet.
Chris Macha is the owner of the southwest Houston business and he told ABC13 they see a variety of customers, "One guy comes in he's working on his tow truck, another guy comes in working on his MRI machine at the hospital, and then we have an elementary school kid working on his science fair project and then an inventor who's got some crazy idea to build something."
Entering Electronic Parts Outlet can be a bit overwhelming. The massive warehouse is floor-to-ceiling with hard-to-find tech components and tools, giving electronics a second life through repair and reuse rather than adding to e-waste in landfills.
One employee shared, "Recycling is absolutely a paramount thing to save the environment, but also to keep stuff alive that has no reason to be in the landfill. If it could be repurposed two to three more times, why not?"
In the video above, we went row after row with Macha, and even then, we were told we only scratched the surface.
Electronic Parts Outlet is located at 3753 Fondren Road in Houston. You can follow them on Instagram or visit their website.
