Officials have confirmed that 23-year-old Dondre Williams was convicted of capital murder after Naryssa Wright and Malakai Williams were found shot in the head at an apartment complex on Jan. 17. 2022.

In a previous report done by ABC13, it was revealed that a 5-month-old baby girl, Wright's daughter, was at the apartment at the time of the shooting.

Williams, the second victim, was the nephew of Wright's boyfriend, officials said.

It is unknown what triggered the shooting, according to police.

A search was conducted for Williams, who fled the scene, but he was later found and apprehended, according to officials.

The woman's father told Eyewitness News that Wright was a "loving woman," and that her death leaves a gaping hole in their family.

"Really empty void. It's hard to explain. It's really hard," Latherio Wright said.
