Deputies search for gunman after deadly shooting

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A manhunt is underway for a killer armed with a rifle after a person was found shot to death in a vehicle near Ella and Kuykendahl.

Deputies are actively searching the area by air and ground for a suspect. The preliminary description is a black male, thin build, late 20s to early 30s. He was said to be wearing a white shirt and dark pants and carrying a rifle.

There is a wide perimeter set up in the area. Residents are being cautioned to be on alert.
