Charges dismissed against former Klein ISD teacher who was accused of child trafficking: docs

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- Charges have been dismissed against a former Klein ISD teacher who was accused of running a teen prostitution ring with her son, online records state.

In 2024, prosecutors accused the former teacher of recruiting and forcing troubled children into prostitution.

Klein ISD said the teacher worked as a cosmetology teacher at Klein Cain since 2019, but was relieved of her job after her arrest.

Her son, Roger Magee, was also charged and took a plea deal. He is serving a two-decade sentence.

Online court records show the charges have been dismissed for the former teacher, with prosecutors citing insufficient evidence that she had actual knowledge of her son's trafficking activity.

Prosecutors say charges could be refiled in the future.
