HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Two men face charges tied to the shooting death of 25-year-old Isaiah Holiday, who was found with multiple gunshot wounds in March, police said.

On Thursday, the Houston Police Department shared that 29-year-old Christian Washington and 21-year-old Jacobi Burrell were charged in connection with the shooting.

Washington is charged with murder, while Burrell is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

Authorities said that on March 21, the night of the shooting, officers were patrolling the area when they heard multiple gunshots. Officers responded to the 7440 block of Calhoun Road, where they found Holiday on the street with gunshot wounds.

Officers said they rendered first aid until paramedics arrived, but Holiday was pronounced dead.

An investigation into the case identified Washington and Burrell as suspects. Both men were arrested on July 15 and booked into the Harris County Jail.
