
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A Waffle House in Northwest Harris County was closed and surrounded by crime scene tape, as deputies said they were investigating a potential stabbing on Sunday morning.
Deputies said a fight broke out between an employee and 5 or 6 customers at about 2:30 a.m. on Sunday at the restaurant on West Little York near Fry in the Katy area.
According to investigators, words were exchanged before a fight broke out, ending with one employee injuring one of the customers.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office said they're trying to determine if that customer was stabbed.
Deputies said the employee was also injured, and deputies are considering it a case of self-defense.
Investigators said everyone is expected to survive.
The Waffle House was closed for several hours as deputies investigated. Crime scene tape surrounded the building until at least 6 a.m. Sunday.
