Police: 1 dead after short chase, accident in northwest Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A motorcyclist is dead after a short chase and accident in northwest Houston, police said.

According to HPD, the chase started on South Lane and Ferguson and lasted about two minutes. The suspect, in his late teens, crashed into a car and was thrown off the stolen motorcycle.

Police said he was not wearing a helmet.

No other details have been released.
