Person shot inside SE Houston home while sleeping

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A person was shot while they were asleep inside a southeast Houston home, police said.

It happened on Southurst Street near Cresthill Street around 5 a.m. Saturday.

Police said the person who was shot was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

There was no word on the shooter or what led to the violence.
