Wrong-way driver dies in head-on crash on Houston's south side

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A deadly head-on crash on the South Freeway was the result of a wrong-way driver.

A Honda Civic and a Dodge SUV collided on the northbound lanes of Highway 288 at Airport last night around 9:15pm.

The male driver of the Honda was killed. The driver of the SUV had minor injuries. Police say the driver of the Honda was going the wrong way.
