WEBSTER, TX (KTRK) -- A woman is facing charges after allegedly trying to run over her boyfriend's wife.

On April 27, according to court documents, Angela Hernandez-Avila intentionally tried to run Leticia Reyes-Velasquez down with her car in a parking lot off 1020 West Nasa Parkway.

Hernandez-Avila had been dating Reyes-Velasquez's husband, Luis Perez, and reportedly became angry when Perez told her he wanted to get back together with his wife.

Hernandez-Avila then followed Perez to a parking lot where she knew he was going to meet his wife, and court documents say she then attempted to run over Reyes-Velasquez with her vehicle.

Reyes-Velasquez told officers she had to use her hands to push herself off the vehicle as it sped towards her, and she fell into the grassy median. She was not injured and the suspect fled the scene.

Officers interviewed both Reyes-Velasquez and Perez who identified Hernandez-Avila as the driver of the vehicle.

The couple also accuses Hernandez-Avila of going to Reyes-Velasquez's home in Dickinson the following day and keying her car.

Hernandez-Avila is charged with aggravated assault, and is being held in the Harris County jail on a $30,000 bond.
