HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Memorial Villages Police need your help to identify and locate a man who tried to barge into a home with gun drawn.

The attempted home invasion happened Saturday around 12:30 pm in the 11600 block of Arrowwood Circle.

"We got the guy. We know who did it," said homeowner Pam Jarrett.

Her surveillance cameras clearly show the man trying to get into her home.

She wasn't home at the time. On the video, which you can see here, the hoodie-cloaked man appears to attempt to barge in through the side door of the home by ramming it with his shoulder repeatedly. He never got it open enough to enter and apparently tried to break a nearby window also to gain access, unsuccessfully.

He had a gun and had it ready.

"It sure looked like it," said Jarrett.

"Very unusual crime for this area and had the potential to be very, very violent," said Assistant Police Chief Ray Schultz.

Memorial Villages Police hope you will take a good look at the man. Investigators describe him as approximately 5'9" tall with dark hair, mid 20's, about 130-160 lbs. He was wearing a black zip hoodie with brown pants and blue high tops. He left in a white Nissan Xterra which was seen a neighbor's camera nearby as it drove off.

Investigators say they've had two other break ins in the neighborhood in just the last week, that it's critical this person is caught before someone gets hurt.
