Special homecoming for Cinco Ranch student

KATY, Texas (KTRK) -- There was a special homecoming for a Cinco Ranch high school student.

Lt. Col. Joshua Pope hugged his daughter Carolyn at her school in Katy the day before Spring Break.

Pope has been serving in the middle east with the Air Force for the past nine months and wanted his homecoming to be a surprise.

He walked into her class with a bouquet of flowers. Pope will be home for two weeks.
