Woman walking in northwest Harris County finds man's body in ditch
HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Homicide detectives have a murder mystery on their hands, after Harris County Sheriff's deputies found a dead body in a ditch.
At about 11:40am Tuesday, a woman walking in the 9500 block of Veterans Memorial Drive spotted a male's body lying in the grass near the roadway, north of Halls Bayou. Authorities say the dead man didn't have any identification and appeared to have suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim appears to be a black male, 45 to 50 years of age, 5'6" tall and 145 pounds, with short black hair and a goatee. The man was wearing a blue pullover shirt, blue jeans, a red belt and red tennis shoes.
