Residents call police after hearing gunshots, find man dead in apartment

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police are looking into a deadly shooting at an apartment complex in southwest Houston.

Residents called police around 5:50pm yesterday evening after hearing gunshots at the Happy Home Apartments off Club Creek and Green Fork.

Police arrived and found a downstairs unit at the apartment complex with the door wide open. They looked inside and spotted the male victim dead from gunshot wounds.

Right now, there is no motive in the shooting. Homicide detectives are investigating and encourage anyone with information about the deadly shooting to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS. You can remain anonymous with your crime tip.
